Ahh, just as December approaches and we remember childhood rituals like getting to open one gift on Christmas Eve, having your stocking outside your door in the morning, eating your advent calendar chocolate before breakfast, ahh those were the days.

Now that we have all grown up the fun has been somewhat lost, we are no longer innocent and naive. However last year that all changed for me.

I invested in a beauty advent calendar from Latest in Beauty last year and it was like being a child again. Each morning I would wake with excitement to see what beauty product was behind the door. It really was quite magical and made the run up to Christmas a little more exciting again. Beauty Advent Calendars are so much better than chocolate ones as the little surprises last longer!

See below for the best beauty calendars on the market! But be quick they tend to sell it rather fast!

You Beauty Advent Calendar £49.95
This looks fantastic. Even better than last year. With an excellent variety of high end brands and beauty wonders – this would suit the girl who knows her beauty products. Filled with miniatures of luxury quality – you will not be disappointed. I was jumping for joy last year.

The creme de la creme of them all. The Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar £84
If you have the money to splash then this is a winner. With such a variety of different brands and products there will be something to please everyone. I think it should be compulsory that all other halves buy their women a beauty advent calendar as a pre Christmas gift. Think of the brownie points men!! You will be man of the year with this one!

Ciate Mini Mani Advent Calendar £42
Great gift for someone who loves nail polish. For me, that many nail polishes is a bit excessive in one go but you could always gift some of them as stocking fillers. You do get some of the pearl pots too to add some texture. Great price point for the amount of polishes you receive.

Nails Inc Message in a Manicure £45
Another handy advent calendar – but for me a little excessive on the nail polish front (again). Great price point, similar to that of the Ciate polishes. Great selection of colours which would be perfect for a teenager, I am sure they would love this gift.

YSL La Laque Couture Collection £395
A tad on the steep side but wonderfully packaged and I must say the colours are appealing. If the woman in your life loves her nail colours and likes luxury – this says it in a thousands words. She will love you forever.

Of them all I am torn between the You Beauty and Selfridges Beauty advent calendar. Decisions decisions. What one will you be going for?
