A few weeks ago, I attended the SPACE NK event in Brighton. I arrived at the evening, was presented with a glass of champagne on arrival and offered a facial and many other treatments set up for the evening. There was an incentive in store also… An amazing goody bag worth over £235 on all purchases over £100. Very easily done in a beautiful store like SPACE NK. My main objective of the evening was to investigate some new products I have had my eye on, (Dr,Sebagh, Elemental Herbology and Hourglass to name a few) as well as purchasing a whole new make up kit.

After my amazing facial, I was taken to the Hourglass counter where the lovely consultant explained about all of the products from the range.

To start with she reached for the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, a clean, satin-finish mineral primer complete with SPF15. The Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer minimises the appearance of large pores and fine lines and helps to restore moisture if your skin is a little dehydrated, the product combats shine too. As I am sat in the chair, the consultant applies a little of the product around the face, using a gorgeous Hourglass Foundation Brush (the brush is PETA approved) she buffs the product on the skin in circular motions, the contents are white and glides over the face very easily leaving a glorious silky smooth base for foundation to be applied. (I did not purchase this item in the end as I knew this was one of the items included in the goody bag). I am now using the mini one every day and will definitely be purchasing the full size product when my wee one runs out.

Next came the foundation, the consultant buffed two coats of Hourglass Veil Fluid Foundation onto my skin, using shade SAND. On the evening, it was a bitt too overdone for me, I would not normally wear two coats of foundation on my face.
Day to day this foundation is amazing, it truly is one of the best I have come across in terms of finish and staying power. You almost do not need a concealer as the foundation covers so well. Blends wonderfully and I have taken to the buffing circulation motion on application, it really blends beautifully leaving an ultra soft finish, glowing skin.

The shade really was perfect for my skin tone, I find it even blends well when I have a little fake tan underneath. The packaging is very sleek too, very simple yet luxurious in design. I have been wearing this daily now for a few weeks, it is a skins dream, I don’t feel like I am wearing foundation at all, it is lightweight in a sense, almost bonding with your natural skin tone, leaving a flawless, radiant complexion. Hourglass Veil Fluid Foundation is available at SPACE NK for £50.

I have been using NARS Casino Bronzer for years now and was reluctant to change, I was planning on buying another one on the evening as I was half way through my current compact. The consultant brought to my attention, Hourglass Superficial Waterproof Bronzer (I’m thinking ‘Yeah Right‘). She applied a generous amount to the back of her hand and sprayed some water over the Bronzer. Reaching for a white tissue she began dabbing the back of her hand which I had just watched her apply Bronzer so liberally to, the tissue was still white, no bronzer marks what so ever. She began to work the Bronzer along my cheekbones contouring and buffing. Sweeping the brush along my forehead and down the nose. When I looked in the mirror, my jaw nearly dropped at how utterly lush I looked. My skin was glowing, looking sun kissed and contoured, the product does not offer any real shimmer or glitter so the effect is beautiful, really warm looking.
Again, another product I bought on the evening and have used every day since! The packaging is also rather amazing! Very sleek design, a large mirror in the compact which rotates so you can use as a mirror for other things. It reminded me of the mobile phones from a few years ago where you could twist the top part of the phone around to take a picture. Very sleek design, the mirror is rather big too so it can be hand when you are out and about and need to touch up make up. Brilliant! You can buy The Hourglass Superficial Waterproof Bronzer at SPACE NK for £30.

I would really recommend all of the products above – a little luxury gift to yourself for Christmas perhaps…
